| March 1966:Ochanomizu general school has been built |
| (it is Tokyo Designer Gakuin No.1 school now) |
| April 1967:Ochanomizu No.2 school has been built |
| April 1974:Ochanomizu No.3 school has been built |
| March 1977:authorize as a special training school |
| June 1980:Ochanomizu No.5 school has been built |
| December 1981:Jinbocho No.6 school has been built |
| March 1983:Ochanomizu No.4 school has been built |
| July 1985:Nishikanda No.7 school has been built |
| April 2000:Harajuku laboratory has been built |
| October 2008:the forty-five anniversary of the foundation |
TDG is authorized by the governor of Tokyo and,
the Minister of Education to provide licence of a specialist.
We have 13 Department and 53 Course
Our school’s depts and Courses can cover any type of design. This is characteristic of our school. Therefor we hope we could bring up a professional designer from every courses and majors which cover the design world’s trend.
A flexible curriculum if you want to change
the course or major
You can change the curriculum if you want. Also you can take a class which is other course or major.
Between 1st.Stage(when you finish first half semester ) and 2nd.Stage(when you finish first year) and between 2st.Stage(when you finish first a year) and 3nd.Stage(when you finish second half semester ),you can change the major. This flexible way is good to try your every ability.
The governor of Tokyo authorize our school
Our school has put practice type curriculum which
covers high-technology into effect since started
our school. Also we brought up the student who
can adapt new epoch.
We are self-confidence that Our school is a general design school. Because over 42,000 students graduated from our school and the design world and an allied organization are a base of our school. Also our school are appreciate by the Minister of Education to provide licence of a design specialist . Because These achievements and "two years required for graduation ","students have to take over 1,700 hours to graduate" and "authorizing graduation depends on an exam or a school record" ,etc.
